  • WIP Wednesday

There was a baptism this past Sunday in church.  A family baptized their ten-day-old son.  Their wee little boy.

I was suddenly motivated to knit faster.  (Even though Theo has never been a wee little boy.)

I’m still on the bottom edging for the second skirt.  I’d say I’m about two-thirds of the way finished.  Fortunately, my gauge is a little off (I tend to knit very, very loose) and it’s a stretch pattern to begin with.  ‘Cause, you may have missed the earlier report, but the intended wearer of this garment now weighs twenty pounds.  I’m pretty sure that’s what Isaac weighed when he was 11 months.

I’ve also been knitting on something else during class (I’m now precepting for Intro to New Testament Interpretation).  But I can’t show any pics yet.  (It’s an iftgay for omeonesay who reads this ogblay.)  I’ve made a lot of progress, though.  (Four and a half hours of lecture so far!  That’s lots of knitting time.)  I’ve just started the second pair of skeins.  (There are four skeins total, two each in two different colors.)  So, omeonesay might actually get it for Christmas this year!  (If you’re on Ravelry and can find my page, you can see a picture and even figure out who it’s for!)

Well, I appear to have hit my monthly limit of parenthetical remarks, so I better end this post now.  (While I’m ahead.)
