Be Vewwy Vewwy Quiet
House hunting isn’t particularly fun.
I suppose it might be, if we lived in a place and were ready to move up (or down, or over) in house and had all the time in the world to find the perfect place for us.
Long-distance house hunting isn’t really fun.
House hunting under a time pressure isn’t really fun.
House hunting in an entirely new city about which you know almost nothing isn’t really fun.
Seeing how other people decorate their houses is a little fun.
Home inspections are not fun.
Do you like house hunting?
What would your perfect house be like?

my husband bought our house sight unseen- we had bids on two others that fell through, then our current home (which was right down the street from one of the others) came on the market and under budget, and he snagged it. It does need some work but I like that- I can make it mine. It is a post and beam, 30 years old, three beds and three baths. It has just the right amount of rooms which is great because I don’ t clean extra rooms.
It has a great big yard and is across from a public soccer field- another plus, because that is a yard we can play in that we don’t have to mow.
I should clarify- he saw this house, I didn’t- but we had both seen and loved the second, so I knew what it was like.
I hear you–I’m not a fan of overlarge homes.
