  • Giving Up

Between the drought, the squirrels, the chipmunks, the cabbage worms, and the squirrels :hostile glare:, I am getting absolutely nothing from my garden.  A few cucumbers.  A handful of string beans.  There might be a pepper that makes it.

I’m very, very mad about this.

So, I’m tearing it all out and trying to get a last little round of flowers before winter kills everything.

I’m trying to be philosophical about it–didn’t have tons of time this year anyway, it’ll be better next year if I can put in raised beds, I’ll have more time next year–but it’s just making me sad.

And maybe a little bit glad that that’s the worst thing I have to be sad about right now.

And a whole lot mad at the squirrels.  :hostile glare:

    But mostly just sad.

  • I am sorry to hear that. I would love to have a garden. Unfortunately I live in the center of a Valencia, Spain, in a relatively hot climate, in an apartment. No garden for me. I would love to have your problems with the garden.
