Long-Lost Favorites
Just found the box labeled “Toddler Read-Alouds.” Revisiting some old favorites this week:
There’s a Wocket in My Pocket, by Dr. Seuss
The Very Quiet Cricket, by Eric CarleReuben and the Quilt, by Merle Good and P. Buckley Moss
Where Do Balloons Go, by Jamie Lee Curtis“Stand Back,” Said the Elephant, “I’m Going to Sneeze!” by Patricia Thomas (winner of the Longest and Most Punctuated Book Title Award)
And my all-time favorite Toddler Read-Aloud:
Scrambled Eggs Super, by Dr. Seuss
“Scrambled Eggs Super-de-dooper-de-booper, Special Deluxe a la Peter T. Hooper!”
Theo kept interrupting Isaac’s fine, fine rendition of this book: “Isaac, dat’s SILLY!”
