Data Loss
Laptop's hard drive is unrecoverable. Two weeks' worth of writing and notetaking gone, although not much else, thankfully. (All the pictures are on the desktop, and I did back up my data a few weeks ago.)
So, now I'm trying to decide whether to dig out all the back up disks that are already half packed somewhere, or if I should just wait until we move.
*pathetic sigh*

What a DRAG!!! This seems to be a problem with Macs...it happened to Erika, though in her case, it was better timed--3 days AFTER she submitted her senior thesis. She only has a hard copy of her thesis since she hadn't backed up her hard drive for over a year. Hopefully she has learned her lesson. And this was after she had her old computer's hard drive wiped out and replaced for beaucoup euros. I took that old computer and then it got stolen. Alas, I had to replace it so I have a new MacBook.
Rachel has had problems with her MacBook too and had her keyboard and track mouse replaced after 9 months of use (it paid to get the AppleCare).
Nevertheless, we are still Mac fans. Doug just upgraded to the newest iMac and enjoys the 24 in screen.
How awful!!!!!!!!!!
