Friday Food Festival
So, I’ve been to the grocery store.
They don’t have couscous.
But they do have . . . are you ready for it? . . . beef tripe, beef tongue, and beef kidney.
I don’t know how to cook any of those things. (Although I do love me some veal kidney with cream and mustard sauce, I don’t think beef kidney is quite the same. It’s ten times the size, for one thing.)
Anybody have any good recipes for tripe, tongue, or kidney?

Do you need us to mail you a care package of organically grown couscous?
Yuck. Sounds like you need a trip to Mimi’s to stock your pantry and freezer. I’m not sure tongue, tripe and kidneys constitute food. I have heard them referred to as offal (but I seriously believe they are awful)! PS – call your mother. We don’t have your new phone number.
