THIS is what I was working on during the Super Bowl. (I also “worked on” a serious bowl full of tortilla chips and queso, but I’m NOT documenting the end result of that.) It’s the Dove Shawl pattern from before, in Rowan Kidsilk Haze; I did four pattern repeats and bound off so that I could see how to do it, and how it would behave blocked.
Here on the left, we have a closeup of the unblocked swatch, so you can see the lace pattern; on the right is how I’ve blocked it. Once it’s dry, I’ll post an “unpinned, blocked” picture as well.
I’m trying to decide if I like it as is, or if I should go down a needle size or two (make it a bit smaller). I DEFINITELY prefer it blocked; what do you think?
